I love Morrowind! :D

I've got to say that Oblivion ruined Morrowind for me. The way you move, fight, cast spells, etc in Oblivion was more comfortable. But now when I try to play Morrowind the only thing that comes to mind is "Do I have to play this?"

I enjoyed Morrowind for the XBOX but when I played it for pc I just used the console too mutch.

Morrowind is EPIC! I saw and heard all the good things about it, and bought it. It was a bit slow at the start, getting used to the controls and the menu system was weird, OH and not having fast-travel. But it is amazing.

What should you do? Mod the game.

Morrowind looked great when I first saw it. Now... Eh... It kind of hurts my eyes it's so brown. Game was amazing though and the different things you could do, there was just no comparison in that free roam premise. It dominated completely every hour of my day. The XBOX conversion was horribly laggy and I gotta say shame on the attempt however.... I even have that copy still as well. Works way better on the 360. Backwards emulation sometimes causes freezing but not as bad as the original chirping after five feet of movement. PC version is beautiful when you mod it out to the max.

So, I have been playing Halo and Oblivion lately, and I haven't played Morrowind in a LONG time. So I decided, "Why not get back to it today?"

Man, was it awesome! :D

No mods, original music, heck, I didn't even bother to install Bloodmoon or Tribunal!

I'm sorry if this topic is random, it's just that I forgot how much I missed Morrowind until I played it again.

Now let me ask you, "What should I do?"

Oh, and if this isn't in the right section, feel free to move it (Moderators).

Off to play more Morrowind,

gman021

morrowind was (in my opinion) a far far superior game to oblivion. Oblivion could never capture the same sense of freedom or scale as morrowind. Even Fallout 3, which is almost identical to oblivion, felt a much more liberating game.... i ended up uninstalling oblivion to go back to morrowind, testamony to an addictive game

Morrowind was an excellent game. I played Oblivion before it (Sorry, I was 8 years old when Morrowind came out), and I loved how much more open ended Morrowind was. It didn't force you to hold on to every quest item there was, and it didn't bug you to complete side quests constantly. If you wanted to, you could shove Caius Cosades' package into the nearest guar and keep going. Meanwhile, in Oblivion, you still have the Amulet of King. No option to sell it to anyone, even though it must be worth a fortune.

I love Morrowind too, but I'm also one of those people who can't figure out how I was able to put up with the controls after playing Oblivion. Morrowind, in my opinion, had more interesting people to talk too... until i installed The Shivering Ilse's. I also didn't have to spend hours trying to make a decent face in Morrowind. I may go back to playing Morrowind when I finally get tired of starting riots in Oblivion, I do miss terrorizing innocent people as a werewolf. :whistling:
