Ibsen3
Hello all, I work both independently and for the 'Silgrad Tower' team, where I have recently posted various threads concerning a potential 'Reward for Quest Developers'. At the moment, this is a WIP which involves a complex, speaking NPC as a companion-reward for completed quests. His name is 'Anaster Marrowmir' and he will soon be appearing as part of brucevayne's 'Oblivion Sound Sets': http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12588 where companions and player characters comment on the events of the game as it is played. My personal goal is to populate Oblivion with more convincing and more human characters. The plan for Anaster is to increase the level of immersion offered by the sound sets by having his influence lead towards sub-plots and alternative avenues for the completion of quests. He is planned to be incorporated into ST and the associated 'Black Marsh' mod so that the PC can travel with him and, hopefully, share some sub-plot lines along the way, a little bit like a fully-spoken Ruined Tail (the well-known mod by Simyaz). Anaster began life as a diary that I started writing for GiskardUK’s ‘The Necromancer’ mod but has taken various forms over time. The final story of his transition from Redguard of Stros M’Kai (using the original lore of the early Besthesda game) to necromancer with strong links to the indigenous cultures of the Black Marshes will be documented in both of the aforementioned mods, making use of the existing storyline to add a little extra spice to the proceedings. As indicated, Anaster is a Redguard Necromancer who has enjoyed his fair share of sea-faring. As such, he is an ideal pirate's second-in-command, which befits some of his usages in 'Silgrad Tower'. He also dabbles in his own brand of voodoo, as befits the plans for the exploration of Argonian voodoo in 'Black Marsh'. As a strong departure from the premise that Redguards don't do magic (a myth that is debunked in the diary I wrote), Anaster's main skills include conjuration and alchemy but, as a Redguard, he should be strong enough to withstand a decent brawl, too. What I'm after What I'm looking for is a complete skin for him, which will hopefully look like something vaguely resembling the attached picture. The rest of his body should probably involve some very grand but very old and very battered/dusty clothing, most likely a dark suit. A dusty, black top hat would be great along with snake-and-bone-based charms/crosses, if at all possible. Tattoos resembling bone structure is optional and if anyone can design dreadlocks and make them look half-decent then that would be incredible! However, please feel free to use a bit of artistic license if you wish and design him according to what you really think he should look like. I can pass on his diary on request if you wish. However, it is very, very long for an in-game text and is designed to be used in sections...but it should help to explain a few things. As far as possessions go, I could really do with a serpent staff (maybe with a blade on the end if we can get the thing to double as a hand-to-hand weapon...?). It is planned that this shall have some rather special summoning properties that others in the team are helping me with. Although the Black Marsh team are at work on juju objects, it would be cool if someone could design a few special potion jars, too. brucevayne himself (creator of 'Oblivion Sound Sets') will also be on hand for any additional dialogue/sound-based ideas that emerge throughout the course of Anaster's creation. Keep an eye on his mod for the impending release of the 'Anaster' sound set where you will be able to experience Anaster's Afro-Caribbean voice in action. I'm sure that Steve Carrow, who handles the voice acting team at 'Silgrad Tower' will be able to make some use of you, though.
Ibsen3
Oh, and I'm wondering that, because Anaster has (in a manner of speaking) already died, it might be possible to have him move (or 'lurch') a little bit like a lich...would that work?
