Okay, so I FINALLY decided to take the plunge. HELLO!

I wasn't sure if I should post this in the mod request area or here since it's kind of an introduction and request rolled into one I guess..

What brings me here is a bit cliche and I know eeeeveryone probably wants a version of their dog in Fallout 4... lol and I'm no different! I am looking to have my dog made into a Dogmeat MOD(or stand alone), (if I have to try to learn and do this myself, ok... But if I can outsource, AWESOME) He is a Dogo Argentino and he is actually a HUGE fan of Fallout as well! Seems crazy right? I got Fallout 4 the day it released and he basically grew up watching it and always got a huge kick out of Dogmeat and probably often wondered why this german shepherd always ignores him haha... Anyhow, he hears the intro when the game loads up and to this day he religiously plops in front of the T.V and gets excited, it's kind of weird but entertaining. I love that he shares my passion, even if it's for different reasons. I really do think it would be cool if I could bring his character into the game.. What I think is pretty awesome is his breed is a very large but athletic type of mastiff. Bred for the purpose of big game hunting, which includes wild boar, and pumas, so I think he would be pretty PERFECT! :laugh: A girl can dream right? :wub: Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated! Such as pointing me in the right direction etc, Do you think I would need to modify or alter any of vanilla bodies? I think the junk dog or whatever that rotti mod was made of with a re textured furjob would work well, although my dog does have cropped/tapered ears... hmm

I would really like for this to happen! If I gotta learn from scratch I'm down for that and I am eager to educate myself, only lil issue is I play on the xbox one :sweat: Anyway, if this is posted in the wrong area I apologize, I can correct that if need be... I didn't know if this is an official mod request flat out, I guess it kinda is... But yeah... That's why I'm here lol, heeelllooo!

Oh he's a beauty! It's such a shame the ears get cropped - I know it can be practical for coursing but your little girl is just adorable with her big flopsy ears!

 

Having seen the way the dog bodies have been manipulated a little so far - such as adding floppy ears to Dogmeat - I'm sure someone could make a pretty convincing replica of your boy there, or guide you in the right way. You could perhaps snip the ears off Dogmeat (!) and tag them on to the head of the rotti - I'm far better with textures than nifs, I'm afraid, or I'd offer to help :(

Thank you so much! I know everyone has their preferences but I do agree, our lil female with her natural ears all a flop is pretty cute haha :)

 

I agree, I don't know if he would be overly complicated.. He is already a lean boy and I would assume living in a wasteland would make him even leaner (so the vanilla bodies may be okay) I suppose he would just need a short coat and retexture.. Thanks for your input, I'm gonna try in the request forum!
