If I create a custom armor and a variety of enchanted versions templated off the original and I make the original armor upgradeable at an armor bench, do I need to make all the enchanted varieties upgradeable at the armor bench as well?

No. As long as it's templated all the required keywords should be present in the enchanted versions. You shouldn't in fact be able to edit them to be otherwise.

Thank Iluvatar! I have a set of armor with about oh 7 different enchantments for each of the 4 pieces of the set so that would make a heck of a lot of Temper recipes to do as opposed to a simple 4 of the template.
