SKSE64 Beta causing CTD at saving

I opted for the beta with the Creation Club and installed SKSE64 for that version. And ever since then my game keeps CTDing every time the game tries to save. I even went so far as to start a new game with all mods turned off with the same result. When I uninstalled SKSE64 completely and then tried it, then it saved normally. Any idea what might be causing this?

I doubt if that is SKSE64's fault, more than likely your UAC. If you have Steam installed in the default location, that is in your program files, Anything that makes changes to Steam files your UAC will possibly block making you have to run it as an administrator. Windows can be very sensitive about changes made to program files.

It is recommended that you install Steam outside of program files; for instance C:Users/your name/Steam, or C:Steam.

UAC is Windows User Account Control, it is this program which will post an alert if it detects changes to program files that it feels could be dangerous. Then it will not let you make those changes unless you run the program as an administrator. The simplest solution to this is to install Steam outside of your program files; which are "program files" where Windows installs 64bit programs by default, and "program files (x86)" where Windows installs 32bit programs by default.
