stebbinsd
This right here is why I so dread installing updates! This is the reason why I only usually install an update if it's absolutely necessary for a new mod I want! I recently updated to V1.10.20. This was a big enough headache even as-is, since it uninstalled the previous version of FO4 before it installed the new one. That alone wouldn't have been so bad ... except that it also uninstalled all my mods, deleted all my batch files, and even made the original install folder inaccessible! So I had to install in a new folder! This means that, when I tried to re-enable the mods using NMM, they tried to install those mods in the old folder! So I had to completely re-download all my mods from scratch so they'd be installed in the new folder! AAAAAAARG! Okay, so after all that's done, I FINALLY try to fire up the F4SE launcher! Well, I get this error message: I don't even know what Terminal+ is, so I decided to launch the game and see exactly what it means when "Terminal+" is disabled.Well, I can't even get to the main menu before the game crashes! Literally, just as the game has the "please stand by" logo, the game stops working and crashes to the desktop! This doesn't work if I just launch regular FO4. I can still enter the game using that method if I need to. However, some of my mods require F4SE to work. HEEEEEEEEELP!
willyb9
i think the most up to date version of fallout 4 is 1.10.26, and the correct version of f4se for that is 0.6.0. version 1.10.20 would use f4se version 0.5.0. anyways, terminal+ is from Transfer Settlements by CDante, and it seems you're using the version that works with fallout 4 v 1.9.4 so you just need to update to the correct version of fallout 4 and f4se and it should work fine. stebbinsd
1. Oh god, please don't make me download ANOTHER update! I've had enough of these headaches for at least a year!2. Where do I download F4SE version 0.5.0?3. Is there a version of Transfer Settlements that's made for Version 1.10.20?
stebbinsd
Ok, I went and downloaded F4SE version 0.5.0. But when I went to install it, I got this message: So I actually have version 1.10.26.0 (so thank god I don't have to do another headache-inducing update). So the problem isn't that my Script Extender and FO4 version don't match. Apparently, it's a different problem.

sopmac45
@ OP ..... same thing happened to me and the only thing I did was to download ( upgrade ) again F4SE .... once you've done that, it should be fine. Before you start playing, just open LOOT and see if the master files are cleaned, otherwise proceed to clean them up. Also, go into Steam, right click on FO4, properties, local files and validate game files. After all of that, you should be fine.
