My game won't launch

Hello everyone.

As the title says, I've got a problem with launching Skyrim. I do have a number of mods active (69 to be exact), I tried to disable the last bunch of mods because Skyrim worked fine before these, but it still didn't launch. As my friend recommended, I also disabled all plugins, but again it didn't work. And I checked if there's something a certain mod needs and I miss it, found nothing problematic. I checked all the mod descriptions as well, to make sure all mods are compatible with others, everything should be alright.

That mentioned friend told me it could be a rewritten major file, I hope he's wrong.

I have Skyrim Legendary Edition, with all DLCs.
PC, a laptop, with Radeon graphics and all this pretty basic stuff, nothing special.
But Skyrim always worked well. Sometimes it lagged for a few seconds, I blame texture mods. When I played for the last time before this, there were no lags if I remember correctly.
This happened for the first time.

Thanks for any kind of response or help.

"That mentioned friend told me it could be a rewritten major file, I hope he's wrong."

launch steam - click on Library tab - Right Click on Skyrim - click on Properties - then click on Local Files Tab - then click on: Verify Integrity Of Game Files (Steam will then Restore or Fix Missing or Corrupted data files, by re-downloading them, only applies to any and all Skyrim specific Data Files, and its Dlc Data Files. - in other words this will only fix Skyrim's own files and its Dlc files, does not affect mods. probably obvious but i felt the need to include this little tidbit xD )

the above will Fix "Major files" which are the files that Skyrim and its Dlc require (if Applicable).

if the above doesn't work then proceed below:

1. Do you run an ENB, or Reshade framework ?

2. do you run SKSE ?

3. have you run LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool)

3a. If so, have you Cleaned Dirty Mods ? (Reported By LOOT)

4. and lastly What is your Mod List ?

================

Nature of crashes

================

1. Skyrim Launches then immediately Closes - Cause of crash: Skyrim.Esm is Disabled, Missing, or Corrupt, or you have Missing or Corrupted Data files (this includes, the Launcher itself, Skyrim.exe, BSA archives for Skyrim and any Dlc you may have - and third party launchers, only 1 i know of is SKSE) - (SKSE = Skyrim Script Extender) can also be caused if you are running an ENB or Reshade at the same time as, Third Party Monitoring Software or any Third Party Software that Hooks into the Game, (this includes but not limited to, Nvidia Geforce Experience, Msi Afterburner, and any other third party program that provides in game monitoring of system hardware usage and temperatures - via the method of hooking in to the game)

2. Skyrim Crashes before New Game Appears - Cause of crash: 1 of your mods is missing a required mod, Typically A Master File (ESM), or corrupted BSA Archives, or Missing Strings

2a. this includes New Game, Continue Game, Mods, and Exit Game options (basically the very place you end up before creating a new game or continuing a previous game)

3. Infinite Loading Screen (Basically you can not proceed beyond a loading screen) - Cause of crash: Save Bloat or Save Game Corruption (Typically Caused by Poorly written Scripted mods, or mods that constantly spam scripts, or you have too many scripted mods.

4. Area Based Crashes (basically you crash immediately upon entering a specific area or close proximity to a specific area, this crash is 100% repeatable every single time you enter a very specific place - Cause of crash: Deleted Reference(s) or potentially deleted Navigation Mesh(s) (Navmesh)

5. Random Crashes - Cause of crash: random crashes can be cause by a lot of things, if reporting this type of issue, your Mod List, as well as System Specs, as well as (CPU, GPU and Memory Usage), and CPU And GPU Tempertures is essential information to share, as to help identify what may be the cause for your issue, however as said random crashes can be caused by a Lot of Things. Mod load order being a typical cause and Mod Conflicts (typically Caused by a Bad Load Order).

Note the above paragraph is general information by me, but figured i would share this here, just in case.
