Weapon animation preferences.

I have begun working on my first full weapon mod, bringing the classic Colt Rangemaster (Fallout 1-2 Hunting Rifle) into Fallout 4. I have a bit of a conundrum though. I don't have the tools or experience for custom animations, so this will have to be rigged to either the Submachine Gun, or to the Handmade Rifle. This poll is just to gauge which would be more acceptable or preferred. Currently I am leaning toward the Handmade Rifle, but I want a little feedback before I start modelling the receiver.

Guess I'll be using the Handmade Rifle animations. That works pretty well anyway since I've decided to make it look like a gas piston rifle.
