manchuligans
Hi everyone, Here's the issue: When I use a custom follower, like Capri for example, they don't use the body textures that they came with. This happens on multiple unconnected follower mods. They all just use the standard player textures. The followers are showing up in game, but their body textures are screwed up. I've tried checking the filepaths, copy-pasting the texture files directly into the mod folder in Mod Organizer, searching for textures compatible with the follower's body mesh and pasting those in, but nothing changes. I still just get the standard player texture which Skyrim uses for everyone in the game. When the follower's body mesh is the same as the player's, there's just a tolerable color mismatch, but when the follower has a different body mesh, then the texture is distorted and terrible. My skyrim.ini is set the Archive Invalidation 1, so that's activated, and Mod Organizer isn't giving me any warnings about overwrites. One follower that has the correct textures is Promise. I don't know why, I installed that mod just like all the others. Any fixes?
manchuligans
Well, wouldn't you know it. I found a... SOLUTION: The issue was Basveneu's Texture Changer, which would give bodies different details at different weights. What it was doing was forcing one of its textures over the follower textures even though the follower plugins were lower down the load order and should have taken priority. I figured this out by deleting all a follower's textures. Her face, hands and feet appeared purple, as expected, but her body was still a distorted texture. Then I knew it had nothing to do with the follower mod, and I figured it out from there. So, now I'm on the hunt for a replacement texture pack.
