Dahveed
So I recently DL'd a music pack which replaces pretty much all the music in Skyrim. It unpacks the bsa and sprawls the XMWs all over the place, categoriezed into different folders (Tavern, Combat, Village, etc). Some of the music I think fits quite well, but others I wasn't too crazy about and had some of my own ideas. So using a mp3 to XMW converter I was able to replace some of the tavern music with my own music, by just overwriting his filenames. However, what if I don't want to *replace* music, but simply *add* music that the program will randomly choose? (Right now, for example, there are 5 different files to choose from every time I walk into a tavern; however, I would like to add much more variety if I can) Is there a settings file somewhere which tells the program which file names are in the cache to RNG roll from? Right now the filenames in the /tavern directory are mus_tavern_01.xmw, mus_tavern_02.xmw, etc etc until 05. But if I add 06, 07 and 08 it seems to ignore them. How would I "tell" Skyrim to also choose the other five I have added? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)
GomuGomu64
We don't know how to do that, as of yet. Sorry >_>
Dahveed
We don't know how to do that, as of yet. Sorry >_> "We" don't or "you" don't? (...no offense) If it's generally accepted that nobody knows how yet I of course understand. But are you sure?
GomuGomu64
"We" Though maybe you'll find something on the Beth forums, I doubt it. a lot of the game has not been explained/detailed, so things like what you are asking for are not yet "worked out", so to speak. Ok, thanks for answering. I hope "we" (meaning you guys :D) can sort this one out soon, I would love to be able to add dozens more sound files to Skyrim. cheers
NoAardvarksAllowed
It's not true that music can't be added to the game. It is possible, but seems a bit wonky. I'll be tracking this method though for the future. Thanks a bunch :)
