Is this a Mod conflict or retail game error?

Hello NexusMods peoples.

 

All of a sudden since 2 nights ago my FO4 character starts kneeling/crouching all the time when in Power Armor. As soon as I shoot, he crouches, and it also randomly goes to crouching mode too.

I would say this is a mod conflict, but...my character is like level 16 or 18, and I hadn't had this error prior to 2 nights ago.

I have seen tips like this https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3smzxw/stuck_in_crouch_and_ive_tried_almost_everything/ but it didn't seem to do anything for me.

I even tried this "fix" that I found on teh googles: "An easier way to fix is switch to 3rd person view, Remove ALL the items of apparel you are wearing, Open console and click on your character, type Recycleactor close console."

do you have the tactical animations mod --> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10446/? <--

 

if so i believe this mod may be causing it, as i used that mod, and my character kept crouching near objects automatically whilst in third person (not the same as running into objects as the base game forces the character to go into tactical mode, this was literally walking near objects and this mod forced my character to sneak), which i did not like and thus removed the mod, not only that but it had conflicts with other mods i was using.

 

so yea sounds like a conflict with animation mods.

 

Note: animation mods will not show up in your load order, as they are direct replacements. so i can only assume you may have animation mods.

I checked, I do not have that mod. But I did disable all my animation mods, and it didn't change anything.

I can't believe that I will never finish this game.

looking at your mods, the 2 mods that sound like it may be the cause are:

 

MGSAiming

TakeCover <-- this one especially

i assuming you have already disabled the above, not really sure what would cause it to be fair.

it might even be mouse or keyboard failure, the reason why i say this is, my dad had a similiar issue on borderlands, where he would ADS, but as soon as he fired the gun, ADS would go straight to hip firing, and then immediately back to ADS (it made sniping impossible as you can imagine), as it turns out his mouse was actually on its way out, replacing the mouse, fixed the issue, while the issues are not the same, they may have the same cause. so yea, try a different mouse and keyboard. and it would also explain why after several days you have suddenly just started getting this issue.
