Can't download Mods

Hi everyone,

 

I downloaded the Skyrim Special Edition on Steam and downloaded the NMM program. I then did the whole thing of locating ti to my Skyrim game after it scanned for the games I have available (I only have Skyrim). I then went to the NMM website and looked for spell mods and downloaded the "Phenderix magic Evolved" mod and it download quickly and was fine.

 

However, now when i want to download a mod I like the look of like Spell Crafting or even the Wands or just environmental upgrades it pops up with a message saying "Nexus Mod Manager is not set up to work with Skyrim if Skyrim is installed, rescan for intalled games from the Change Game toolbar item." (I will attach a screen shop of the message). The issue is that out of the games it scans for I only have Skyrim Special Edition.

 

Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on and how I can get it to stop so that I can actually download mods and have fun with them?

Is the mod in question located on the Skyrim Special Edition site, or is it located on the original Skyrim? Judging by the image, it is from the original Skyrim. Your mod manager is set up to handle .nxm links for Skyrim Special Edition, so it wont work for other games.
