i have no texture mods for houses, only ones im using are for skin/ makeup ect, nothing for the world its self. i can not find what is causing this texture to show up. i think it has something to do with NMM not fully unloading a past mod some time ago, like last year.

the texture i see looks like vines growing all over ever house parts. it ever shows up in the start of the game also b4 you reach the vault..

a screenshot would help us identify the problem.

after all a picture paints a thousand words, the more words that are shown, the more easier it will be to help

as well as your mod list, could very well be a mod conflict

sry about them, i forgotten to take them. xD

If i have to manually need to remove this, i dont know what to remove from my texture folders. (at one time i think i used a mod to do this, i installed it but it never uninstaller like i wanted it too..

ok that is definitely not what i was expecting lol, are we referring to what would be wallpaper. and grass for concrete. lol very weird issue indeed.

what i would do is disable all mods, as this will make it easier identifying the last remaining textures in the texture folder. and then proceed from their.

i am not sure if disabling the mods (by double clicking on them in Nexus mod manager, would actually hide the new textures) if it don't you will need to uninstall the mod(s)

assuming it is not a mod that is causing the issue.

That looks like a texture from the mod Resurrection [the tree/foliage overhaul one that used a load of assets from other mods without consent + was removed from Nexus]

If you are using that mod, or have used it in the past, that's likely the cause. I think I've read that other users have had issues after uninstalling it of it leaving orphaned files, so you might have to go into your data folder and manually remove them yourself.

sry for not replying sooner

maybe, i dont really know, its been sometime now, and i just want a way to get rid of this texture. i might of used that mod or not sometime ago. (knowing me maybe, while no knowing the issues about this mod)

would you know what i should look for and delete so this would look right? i dont know what i should even look for -_-''

(this is why i really wished Mo2 was bening worked on still, i understand he moved on to make a way better mod manger then what we have now... but still xD )

If I'm correct and you did use that mod at some point, you could have a look in Steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/data/textures, to see if it stored the textures as loose files.

If the mod stored it's textures as a .ba2 archive, it'll be in Steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/data. It's likely it has a file name beginning with the letters 'Res' though I can't be certain as I never used that mod myself, so not sure what the files would be called or how the individual who made the mod structured it.

I'd suggest you download and install this small program - sagethumbs- it allows you to see a preview of .dds texture files [among others] when you right-click, so would go some way to making it easier for you to identify the culprit files for removal, if they're not in a .ba2 archive.
