Skyrim pixilation issue

So i recently upgraded my system memory from 4GB to 8GB and I installed an aftermarket CPU heatsink for overclocking. Now Skyrim has a terrible, what I guess is a pixilation issue. The only other thing that's changed since the last time i played was a videocard driver update. I've tried re-installing the game and I've tried re-installing the videocard drivers. I've attached a screenshot of what i'm talking about below. Any suggestions?

8GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x2GB)

OCZTech 750W Quad ATX PSU

Diamond HD5850

Biostar TP55 mainboard

Intel Core i7 860

Its probably the Catalyst drivers.Try and get the video driver V11.11a if you're using a single non-crossfired 5850.

In Catalyst control center, for me, I have the following set.

turn off auto update

Enable - surface format

HD AA - use Application w/box filter

HD AF - App setting

Tess AMD opt

Cat AI - quality

MipMap set to Quality

Vert refresh Always Off

AA to Multi-sample

Triple buffering off

Depending on what other apps you have running, system hardware, temp files not cleared, fragmentation, mods and a whole load of other fun stuff, my setting may not work for you. To optimize anything for your system you have to make the adjustments catered for your system, by you. Use what others post as a starting point. I tweaked a lot of settings and am content with these. I look forward to a better driver with better support, but for now, these are what I use.

Just after Skyrim launches, I open Task Manager(Ctrl_ALT_DEL) and disable all services with the work Steam in it. That alone will net you up to 15 FPS extra. I typically sit between 48-60 fps with what I have posted.

Your Skyrim prefs will also be something you may be looking into. Its a nightmare in itself. 50 people will give you 50 completely different reasons to adjust, tweak, add or delete entries.
