thepengu
I'm planning on making a small mod. Though these things often go unfinished, what with life, jobs etc so I'm not going to make any claims that it will ever see light on the Nexus. However, it's very important to me that whatever I create is lore friendly. For me, that is a vital part of any mod that adds story. I have played 3, NV & 4, but I do not pretend to be an expert on the lore within these games. These games are very detailed, and I know there's a hell of a lot I missed and don't know. Especially since I have never played Fallout 1 & 2.I am looking for someone to talk to on Discord that can answer questions on the lore. Someone that has an interest in the lore across all the games and doesn't mind talking to a stranger with a whole lot of questions. Yes, I know there is a wiki and many abridged lore videos. I am looking for answers to a lot of varied and specific questions.I'm friendly, so worse case scenario this project ends up going no-where and you just answered a bunch of questions for nothing. You will still have my thanks for letting me pick your brains. Please PM me if you're interested.
Illtempered
Well I wouldn't consider myself an expert but I've played 3, NV, and 4 extensively over the years so if you don't get any offers from experts I'd be glad to help as much as I can. I do love lore and always follow it closely in games I'm playing. I always wondered why there was never as much discussion on Fallout lore as there was on the Elder Scrolls lore. The people in the TES lore forums are absolute lore freaks so I certainly wouldn't consider myself an expert there even though I've played the games and studied the lore for twenty years or more. thepengu
Hello Illtempered, Thank you for the response. I always wondered why there was never as much discussion on Fallout lore as there was on the Elder Scrolls lore. The people in the TES lore forums are absolute lore freaks so I certainly wouldn't consider myself an expert there even though I've played the games and studied the lore for twenty years or more. Fantasy lore always seems to be more popular. I feel that's because it's far less grounded in reality, allowing a lot more diversity and scope. Other worlds, gods, magic, etc. With fallout, everything has some tangible science-fiction routes that fit into the 1950 aesthetic, which is more limiting. I for one prefer the fallout lore to the elder scrolls, but I feel that's just a personal preference. Please send me a PM and I will forward some questions onto you :)
