Loadscreen Preferences

I'd like to see what your opinions are on loadscreen times. By that I mean, does it bother you or interupt gameplay too much, by having to wait ?

 

The reason for this is, I'm just about finished a mod I've working on for a while and I'm was going to post it on here (not Steam).

Because of the size (+300Kb) , I don't know if people would prefer it being split up into smaller segments.

As it stands at the moment, the first part is loaded as you enter Whiterun. ( 100+Kb )

The next part is linked to a door in part 1 and takes you to part 2 (100+Kb)

The third part is linked to part 2 (100+Kb)

 

There are a few options here -

 

Part_1.esp

Part_2.esp

Part_3.esp

 

or

 

Part_1.esp

Part_2_and_part_3.esp

 

or all 3 parts under one .esp file

 

There will always be a loadscreen between Part 1 and Part 2.

 

Part 2 and 3 can be split, or combined.

 

I run the game from a SATA III SSD, so loading times for me are only 1 - 2 seconds. I'm not sure what the times would be if running from a normal drive. I'm guessing anywhere between 6 - 10 seconds, maybe more.

 

I'd really appreciate it if you guys let me know what your thought are.

Even with a crap ton of mods and no SSD, my load times are so fast you cant even read the little writings that they put on them. So, I think its fine the way it is. Edited March 13, 2012 by Fortunado3

I don't notice anything. My PC loads in a flash and my PS3 has a HUGE amount of data storage. :hurr:
