jet4571
Did you load a mod yesterday? Or did you change something in the CK?
bazaba
The only mod I added on this day was the survivor cuirass mod. First I thougt this is the problem mod but after uninstalling it my face still turns to wood. The only help is the cheat "showracemenu". But using this 3-4 times a day is pretty annoying
jet4571
Did you try verifying the game cache through steam?
sulmithgreysin
that's the mannequin texture most races have the option of THEIR head and the mannequin head in the race--face data tab check that area out in the CK, something has set them to mannequin
bazaba
I tried everything. After uninstalling all mods the face is still like wood. Then I reinstalled the game and loaded the old savegame but still the same.It seems that some mod destroyed/overwrote the base character files of the faces. After deleting all old savegames and reinstalling again the bug is gone -.-* bye bye lvl 58 character *sigh*
6Domino6
That is really odd...I've never had something cling to the actual saves before. :/ For oblivion wyrebash had a way to alter your saves to get rid of things that may do that.
tonicmole
I would have first moved the texture and Meshes folder to your desk top, and then tried. There is certain things that can stick to saves, and it usually has to do with the face, but generally removing all texture or mesh mod folders can get it rec-to-fied. I wouldn't give up on your saves though. Did you uninstall all mod folders or just deactivate them through the Skyrim launcher?
bazaba
I uninstalled them all. I don't care about the savegames anymore. After a lot of try and error I found the mod that messed up my saves and the textures. Curiously the Breezehome basement mod was the evildoer.
