Crash when loading.

Whenever I try to start oblivion, it keep crashing when I'm on the loading screen, Whether I try loading or starting anew. I have a lot of mod but it all worked well a few hours ago. It all started after I installed a couple mod. They were all sound mods (never had any before) and a crosshair mod (Hollow Crosshair). While installing crosshair, I stupidly removed the hud_reticle.xml but restored it with one from my back up. (cleared recycle bin with it in on accident. . .) I just reinstalled HUD_Status and DarN_UI and got the thing back but oblivion never was able to start. I googled for people with similar problem but no luck. :wallbash:

 

I also have a backup DATA which work.

My back up is just a copy-paste from before I added mods.

 

Can someone tell me if any of these conflict one-another or create problems?

 

I've tried:

- deactivation all my mod (using wyre, including DLC) to start

- Using boss to sort list.

- Removing MY DOCUMENTS/OBLIVION/

-Have yet to try re-adding all mod ~(lazy)~ :hurr:

Oblivion and codec paks can be troublesome. Deactivating mods doesn't stop the game from loading their assets ... you need to uninstall them completely (if it's in the Oblivion\Data folder the game will see it). I would uninstall the sound mods first, and see if you can get the game to run. If you can you've now learned that one mod at a time, with a thorough test in between is the 'fast' way to install mods.
