CTD West of Whiterun

Hey guys, I've been trying to get Skyrim to run for a long while :/ and It would crash a lot when I had WARZONES mod installed, since then I've reset my computer and didn't include that mod in my new game, and it works perfectly fine, except I ran west of Whiterun near a fort and it crashes :sad: :sad: I have no idea what mod could be the culprit, I use LOOT to fix my load order too and this is my load order

I had the same problem and i did everything i could to solve, after update of the mod "arcania all in one" solved, should be related somehow, im not sure. The mod had some update and then the CTD near Whiterun stoped, i disabled other mods too, so i dont know, try disable arcania all in one to check it out too or try the update.

I was checking every mod, disabled most of them, it was betwen 3 mods for sure, arcania all in one, jackga female animations or MaidsII - Wild Enconters, should be related somehow but im not sure, CTD stoped until now, im running near Whiterun a lot now and nothing yet.

I am also getting consistent crashes when I attempt to approach Fort Greymoore. I can usually only make just little bit farther than than the western watch tower when I'm coming from the east, and when coming from the west I crash a little past swindlers den. I do not use skse64. Mods ordered with loot and bashed patch made. sseedit shows no warnings. I checked mods that I thought might be affecting it. I properly reordered with loot every time and rebuilt bashed patch when appropriate. Maybe there is a conflict I overlooked? Maybe it is a specific mod? The OP and I have a lot of the same mods maybe our problems could be the same. Also I've verified cache with steam.

Hi

 

Some perks in Ordinator can cause CTDs. These CTDs only occur when you are in proximity to NPCs that are influenced by a conflicting mod.

 

These are the hardest CTDs to fix because it may be 2 or more mods conflicting with Ordinator.

 

To find out if you have an Ordinator issue use the papyrus log. If it is Ordinator you will see a perk firing before the CTD. Any mods mentioned before the CTD may be the conflicting mod. It takes several logs to find a trend.

 

Another way to test for perk CTDs is to go as close to the CTD as possible & use the console command tfc. That frees the camera so you can move into the CTD area without your body. Conflicting NPCs will not be aware of you so no CTD. If it is another kind of CTD it will not matter if you are in body or not.

 

I used Ordinator in oldrim. The perk trees are a minefield when you have a large load list. The way I fixed my game was after finding the problem perk I would to go to or do the Dragonborn DLC quest so I could remove the perk from the tree.

I had a lot of problems with Ordinator as well. Seems that if your script load is too high, take too many perks with varied effects, or simply your system isn't good enough, the game will crash a lot. This was evident when I was playing Oldrim in a very low end system and NPCs used chain lightning. The game would crash all the time if NPCs had any perks that benefited from the spell.

 

As for the issue at hand, if its not a conflict it could be a mesh error of some sort. Disabling mods that alter the environment or armor NPCs could be using might be a good place to start.

I have tried what you suggested. I think it's not Ordinator because even after disabling it ( and starting again from a vanilla save right out of the helgen cave) I still ctd at the same spot. I did not ctd when free cameraing there. Not running out of memory or cpu. opened resource monitor as far as I could tell it never hit 100% I was only watching the total though. Memory hung around 40-50%.

Side note used bash to set training limit to 25 don't know if that's a bad idea and/or relevant. will attempt more process of elimination later. needs sleeps.

Well it appears to be something related to beyond bruma. I've realized I don't have the latest version and that I'm supposed to manually install it. I'm going to download the new version and try it.

 

Edit: yup it was from using the wrong version of Bruma. Make sure you are using V1.3.3 Maracuchote300, that might be your problem too.
