KS Hair for standalone follower with hairline intact

Hi, I wasn't sure where to put this but this felt most appropriate. I'm trying to make a hair from ks hairs standalone in my follower mod but I'm having trouble with the underlying hairline. In the main mod there is hair underneath but I can't get the same thing in the follower mod. I simply can't locate the tri file that ks hairs point to. I'm quite sure that's the problem.

So I want to go from this:

To this:

But I can't get it to work.

the tri files don't exist or aren't included, use nifskope to tweak the the hair mesh & hairHL mesh (move) on the FaceGen Exported NIF, to get the result you desire. I have seen this too with certain KS hairs, when export by the Kit, when other are absolutely fine. I am self taught with NifSkope, but I do this: right click the offending mesh in render window, Transform then Edit. a dialogue should open, I hope you understands the values.

I also hope some one as a better solution. the only other thing would be to use olerim stuff, then nif-optermizer for nurim

Edit

obviously ->

Wait for RaceMenu & ECE CharGen support to make life easier. It still early days. SKSE64 isn't even official released yet, or bug free.

I didn't know I could do that, I'll take a look. Thank you :smile:

But Edit only takes me to the rotation/move/scale window. Is that what you mean? And what do you mean with offending mesh? The one without hairline or?

the hair mesh only & both have to exactly the same to the decimal point, it very fiddly stuff, I find it doesn't work has well in Alpha 6 has it did Alpha 5, but you have to use Alpha 6 for nurim, I still have & use Alpha 5 for olerim, (for certain things) I can't think of any thing else except the porting option.

Edit

Don't move the Head, or your will get neck seam, & a bit late but back stuff up before you play with it.

I now noticed that I have managed to make the 2 other nifs into hairs that show up in the hair selection on the npc form. So that could be one part of the problem. The hair is also see-through. Which I suppose is because of that.

Edit: I am stoopid. I had put the scalp and hairline nifs as hairparts instead of misc as in the ks hair mod. It should work now, at least it did in the ck xD
