valerie1972
I've been working on retexing Loincloth Fashion and I can't figure out why this texture looks different on human males than on human females - that tan tint on the male version persists. In the screenshot, Leliana, Nola, and Alistair are all wearing identical armor, the Heavy Seeker Armor. I've used the dye kit to remove all dyes including material tiers and also tried simply turning the tint files blank/black with no change. Any ideas? theskymoves
I encountered something similar with another ported armour. *thinks real hard* It was the male vs female versions of the DAO port of The Fugitives Mantle (sic?)... the one that has the weird spiky thing on one shoulder? Anywho... the male version also had a strange brownish cast, no matter what I did. I never did figure out the cause. (Not helpful, to be sure, other than some indication that the issue isn't unique.) ETA an image of the thing (note how dark the chest is on Alistair vs Moira, and the difference in the tint of the metal bits): Edited October 20, 2017 by theskymoves
valerie1972
Huh. Well, at least I know that it's not just something stupid that I'm overlooking. Thanks! I'll let you know if I figure out WTF.
sapphim
check the alpha channel on the tint map. al's skin tint is slightly darker than any of your other models so it might be overlaying a skin tint over the whole thing. or if there's no tint map you might need to change the material in the mao to one that doesn't apply skin tint. that'd be my first guess at the issue, anyway. valerie1972
Never mind - I figured out that it's not the material but the semantic that needs changing. Changing <DefaultSemantic Name="ArmourSkinTint"></DefaultSemantic>to <DefaultSemantic Name="NoTint"></DefaultSemantic>did the trick! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
