Skrotetor
Does anyone know why this is happening?http://youtu.be/N0pu5geUKUU iMac 27 2011 - Bootcamp - ATI 6970 2 GB - bunch of mods (never given any graphic problems) - Catalyst 12.3Could be a misplaced setting in the Skyrimprefs.ini? Thanks! SubjectProphet
I usually get that when I launch Skyrim up from the app and not the launcher. Try using the launcher if you're not. And a mod list, just in case.
Skrotetor
Thanks SubjectProphet I've just found out that the problem was caused by my ini...!Solved!
ProjectVRD
Actually I am getting this, and I have just updated CCC from 12.1 to 12.2. Using the Skyrim profile for Crossfire but it happens with and without Crossfire being enabled. Care to share what you changed in your ini file? JJEBHR
Can you share the .ini setting that caused it and the change you made? I'm getting the exact same problem on a Radeon 6850, WinXP, AMD Dual core 2.8. I've had all my mods on, turned off, started a fresh game, tried from a clean save, graphic card settings, skyrim settings, etc, etc. Launching from the default launcher, SKSE or NMM doesn't make a difference and I deleted my skyrimPref in order to get a fresh copy. I know it's a .ini setting but I cannot figure out which setting it is. The posted screenshots and video are exactly what I'm seeing and this is the first thread I've found with the same problem. Skrotetor
Sure guys! Sorry for the delay! I think it was something about the iBlurDeferredShadowMask or anyway something related with the shadows configuration. I did like this by the way:I've deleted my previous two .ini(s) files and RenderInfo and I've used the Option menu from Skyrim Launcher to create new ones. At that point I've just changed the:fSunShadowUpdateTime=0.25fSunUpdateThreshold=2.0in the Skyrim.ini for the flickering shadows Also I've modified two parameters in the CCC:Anti-Aliasing Mode: Multisample AAWait for vertical refresh: Always Off Here are my .ini(s): [skyrimprefs.ini]------------------------ [General]fBrightLightColorB=1.0000fBrightLightColorG=1.0000fBrightLightColorR=1.0000iStoryManagerLoggingEvent=-1bEnableStoryManagerLogging=0[imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=1iRadialBlurLevel=1[Display]iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3fInteriorShadowDistance=2000.0000fShadowDistance=4000.0000iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048iShadowSplitCount=2iMaxAnisotropy=8fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=5000.0000fGamma=1.0000fDecalLOD2=1500.0000fDecalLOD1=1000.0000fSpecularLODStartFade=650.0000fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000fLightLODStartFade=1355.0000iTexMipMapMinimum=0iTexMipMapSkip=0iWaterMultiSamples=0iMultiSample=0iShadowMode=4bTreesReceiveShadows=0bDrawLandShadows=0bFull Screen=0iSize H=1080iSize W=1920fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=10000000.0000fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=10000000.0000iScreenShotIndex=2bShadowMaskZPrepass=0bMainZPrepass=0iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=10iMaxDecalsPerFrame=30bFloatPointRenderTarget=0sD3DDevice="AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series"bFXAAEnabled=1iShadowMapResolution=2048fShadowBiasScale=0.2500iShadowMaskQuarter=4iAdapter=0iPresentInterval=0iShadowFilter=3bTransparencyMultisampling=0bDrawShadows=1[Grass]b30GrassVS=1fGrassStartFadeDistance=5600.0000fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000[MAIN]bGamepadEnable=0bCrosshairEnabled=1fHUDOpacity=1.0000bSaveOnPause=1bSaveOnTravel=1bSaveOnWait=1bSaveOnRest=1fSkyCellRefFadeDistance=150000.0000[GamePlay]bShowFloatingQuestMarkers=1bShowQuestMarkers=1iDifficulty=3[interface]bDialogueSubtitles=0bGeneralSubtitles=0fMouseCursorSpeed=1.0000bShowCompass=1[Controls]fGamepadHeadingSensitivity=1.0000fMouseHeadingSensitivity=0.0400bAlwaysRunByDefault=1bInvertYValues=0bGamePadRumble=0bMouseAcceleration=1[Particles]iMaxDesired=750[saveGame]fAutosaveEveryXMins=15.0000[AudioMenu]fAudioMasterVolume=1.0000fVal7=1.0000uID7=0fVal6=1.0000uID6=0fVal5=1.0000uID5=0fVal4=1.0000uID4=0fVal3=1.0000uID3=94881fVal2=0.4000uID2=466532fVal1=1.0000uID1=554685fVal0=0.8000uID0=1007612[Clouds]fCloudLevel2Distance=262144.0000fCloudLevel1Distance=32768.0000fCloudLevel0Distance=16384.0000fCloudNearFadeDistance=9000.0000[TerrainManager]fTreeLoadDistance=25000.0000fBlockMaximumDistance=100000.0000fBlockLevel1Distance=32768.0000fBlockLevel0Distance=20480.0000fSplitDistanceMult=0.7500bShowLODInEditor=0[NavMesh]fObstacleAlpha=0.5000fCoverSideHighAlpha=0.8000fCoverSideLowAlpha=0.6500fEdgeFullAlpha=1.0000fEdgeHighAlpha=0.7500fEdgeLowAlpha=0.5000fTriangleFullAlpha=0.7000fTriangleHighAlpha=0.3500fTriangleLowAlpha=0.2000fLedgeBoxHalfHeight=25.0000fEdgeDistFromVert=10.0000fEdgeThickness=10.0000fPointSize=2.5000[Trees]bRenderSkinnedTrees=1uiMaxSkinnedTreesToRender=20[Decals]uMaxDecals=250bDecals=1bSkinnedDecals=1uMaxSkinDecals=50uMaxSkinDecalsPerActor=40[LOD]fLODFadeOutMultObjects=12.2000fLODFadeOutMultItems=12.2000fLODFadeOutMultActors=12.4000fLODFadeOutMultSkyCell=1.0000[Launcher]bEnableFileSelection=1bShowAllResolutions=0uLastAspectRatio=3[blurShaderHDR]bDoHighDynamicRange=1[blurShader]bUseBlurShader=0[Water]iWaterReflectHeight=512iWaterReflectWidth=512bUseWaterDisplacements=1bUseWaterRefractions=1bUseWaterReflections=1bUseWaterDepth=1 [skyrim.ini]-----------------[General]sLanguage=ENGLISH uExterior Cell Buffer=36 [Display]fShadowLODMaxStartFade=1000.0fSpecularLODMaxStartFade=2000.0fLightLODMaxStartFade=3500.0iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048bAllowScreenshot=1fSunShadowUpdateTime=0.25fSunUpdateThreshold=2.0 [Audio]fMusicDuckingSeconds=6.0fMusicUnDuckingSeconds=8.0fMenuModeFadeOutTime=3.0fMenuModeFadeInTime=1.0 [Grass]bAllowCreateGrass=1bAllowLoadGrass=0 [GeneralWarnings]SGeneralMasterMismatchWarning=One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Skrotetor
I think I'll tinker something else by the way to determine which parameter was the "faulty one"When I find it I'll post right away
Skrotetor
Ok I found it...The cuckoo bananas pixels are caused by the Multisample line in the Skyrimprefs.iniI've found that leaving the value at 0 works fine. Changing it to 2 creates the problem.Anyone confirm?
