luciusaries
First off, I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere, I've not been able to find info on my particular question. I've been playing the game offline since before the CC release, waiting for the dust to settle and any problems to surface. If I let Skyrim SE update and add the creation club update, what can I expect? I'm somewhat heavily modded and was wondering if it would break my game. I've heard complaints about load order mishaps, content added automatically, etc. etc. etc. So now that the Creation Club has been out for while, what are y'all's opinions? I'm not currently using SKSE64 and have NO intention of buying stuff from the creation club.
Virde
Nothing is added automatically to your game (not anymore, Bethesda listened to our complaints about auto-downloading .esl/.bsa files to our drives). However Update.esm has been changed in this update (thus the game version number has been changed). Some menu interfaces have been updated, a few other things have been altered. Typically with every update files that are .dll based mess up when game versions change (and mods that depend on those mods). All of those mods have been updated, so things like Achievement Enabler, Uncapper, SKSE64, etc. have to be updated. Any mods that alter the main menu also have to be updated since this update changed that as well. Now if you intend to purchase and use Survival Mode you have to update any mods that alter food items or else they will overite Update.esm Food items so that they restore no hunger (since they will contain the data from pre-Survival Mode). As far as any other CC content being incompatible I have not heard of anything since most of the CC content is simple armor/weapon. Only Survival Mode has altered the game in a drastic way.
