Raicheal
Hello, I have just started to play Skyrim (again, only this time with mods) and have noticed, after running a CCleaner duplicate file finder, that one of the mods files can be found in both the nexus mods folders and in the Steam app files (see example file paths below). I have 6 active plugins;Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmSkyUIHighRes TexturePack01HighRes TexturePack02HighRes TexturePack03 And 1 active modSkyrim HD - 2K Textures - COMPLETE FULL Are the HighRes Texture packs the same as the 2K textures? Can I delete 1 set of the duplicate files (there's a lot of them) and if so which? farmhouse01.dds E:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods\VirtualInstall\1000178176\textures\architecture\farmhousefarmhouse01.dds E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\architecture\farmhouse Thanks in advance for any help. Ondrea
Not sure if you got it resolved since it's been a few days, but no, they are not the same files. The high res pack came with the game. The Skyrim HD Textures are modded textures someone created. They will overwrite many of the hi res textures. Comes down to your own preference which you think looks better. Personally, I have almost all of the game's high res textures overwritten with various modded textures. I would also pick up the Unofficial High Resolution Patch, as there are some bugs associated with the hi res pack textures.
