Mod broke game

I had installed the mod Hangman's Alley Interior Apartments and had things the way I wanted and recently installed Creative Clutter. Now Hangman's Alley has reverted to what you would see without the Hangman's Alley Interior Apartments mod installed. I checked and the Hangman's Alley Interior Apartments is still has a check that indicates it is installed and I have rolled the game back to before the mod was there. I also when the Creative Clutter mod was installed and started acting up I removed the mod and deleted all the save files and started the game from where I stopped the night before. :( I play on the PC. How can I fix this problem?

(http://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/2381701715719492185/) Ok, I tried everything but when starting a new game the game was broken. I install Nexus but really do not understand that. Uninstalled Nexus and well playing around with it broke the uninstalled mods. Sort of fixed that. Still broke. Uninstalled Fallout deleted old saves except the the beginning at vault exit. (Did not delete the Steam saves, I do not know how to get rid of them.) What else can I do? Can someone look at the game and fix it?

Verify your game cache through Steam to make sure the base game files are still good. If you were installing your mods manually rather than using MO or NMM, then it's likely that one or more of your mods left behind some scripts that are still causing problems. I do not have FO4, so I can't tell you what files should or shouldn't be there. I'd check the mod archives, the files you downloaded, and look for anything with a Data\scripts folder. Make sure that anything from those folders has been deleted from your game directory.

You can salvage your game without a total reinstall, it'll just take some detective work. Oh, and don't worry about deleting your saves from the Steam cloud. The game and the cloud will synch up. The saves may reappear, but just delete them again. I think that there's a setting on Steam where you can specify that the cloud saves synch with your computer rather than the other way around. Don't quote me on that, though.

Good luck!

This sounds like a script looking for something that isn't there anymore. Look in Data, and delete the scripts folder, if you have one. Then get F4SE, I will provide a link later to it. Install that. Then find Mod Organizer 2. There are videos on youtube that can help use it. They will be for Mod Organizer, but it is somewhat similar for MO2. And use that to download and install mods, instead of doing it manually. You can set things up to where you download on to one drive, and install the mods on your main drive. I do this myself, I have external drives I use for my mod downloads, and use the hard drive the game is on to play. I digress. However, using F4SE can help, as well as Loot, and a few other tools.
