Dasumianco
just wondering if anyone knows what kind of performance this card would give me on the likes of Skyrim LE and RE7. I've got 2 systems this could go into which I'll list below, but at the moment i'm getting about 20-25fps on Skyrim and an impressive 10-11 fps on RE7 all on lowest settings using an old GT 730 4GB. I have between £150-£250 to upgrade the card until i can get an i7 to start putting together a more gaming oriented machine.link to the cardhttps://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/asus-strix-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-graphics-card-10158181-pdt.html available systems i3 4330 3.5GHz dual coreMSI H81-p33Samsung Evo 750 SSD16GB Corsair Ram (system Max) AMD Phenom II x4 3.2GHz Quad coreAsus M5A97 RE 2.0Samsung Evo 750 SSD24GB Corsair Ram
Erik005
You should see very good performance 60 fps in both games. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp%5B%5D=2906&cmp%5B%5D=3595 The core i3 system is quite a bit faster than the old Phenom system. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2025&cmp[]=368 You could also get this card.https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/pny-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-graphics-card-10157450-pdt.html And with the money you save you could get a proper quad core CPU. https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SCPUINTI54570A Edited October 27, 2017 by Erik005
niphilim222
If you are looking for a quad i suggest go with the Ryzen 5. Newer architecture means better performance. https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113437&cm_re=Ryzen-_-19-113-437-_-Productthe benefit of ddr4

Dasumianco
Thanks Erik005. I've gone with your suggested card, and I'm not disappointed in the slightest.. I am getting a 30fps drop after Aeon ENB & SFO are installed but would i be right in thinking this is down to the puny i3-4330 as I'm getting 45+ in other titles on high settings. Thanks also for the suggested CPU upgrades everyone but I've decided to make do for the time being.. have an interview in the next week and the out come of that could change things in terms of my budget for my new rig..(who doesn't love more expendable income). Erik005
If you could upgrade your CPU to a quad-core with hyper threading you would be set for the next couple of years. You should keep your eyes peeled for a second hand XEON like this,https://www.aliexpress.com/item/intel-Original-E3-1271V3-E3-1271-V3-E3-1271-V3-CPU-Processor-3-6G-1150pin-80W/32816432234.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10152_10065_10151_10344_10068_10345_10342_10343_10340_10341_10541_10562_10084_10083_10304_10307_5680011_10301_10177_10060_10155_10154_10539_10312_10059_10313_10314_10534_10533_100031_10103_10073_10594_10557_10596_10595_10142_10107,searchweb201603_25,ppcSwitch_2&btsid=1174d010-d19f-4f69-8c7b-a90535ac2b96&algo_expid=a50655b6-fa34-4fea-ba36-03b955f31783-1&algo_pvid=a50655b6-fa34-4fea-ba36-03b955f31783&rmStoreLevelAB=0 They are still a little expensive now but if they drop in price like the previous generations they'll be a viable upgrade soon. (heat) so looking at picking up a fan & heatsink for it then leaving the hardware side until the outcome it known... and a new i7-7700k system put toghether..
