Is there an mod that doesn't just increase the size of the textures? cus i get horrible lag on my x1950 pro 256mb card what recommendations could you make? that makes oblivion pretty but without the lag
LFact
I am also Radeon X1950pro 256MB user, and I'm fine with QTP3 Redimized(+Reduced). And, using Streamline 3.1 with is better. By the way, can you tell us your computer spec?

FearlessHamster
Billypnats, we have appearently a lot in common. I also have a x1950 pro 256mb card. And just like you I have tried qarl´s texture mod but gave it up because of the lag. I also tried QTP3 Redimized but it was still to much lagging. I had gave up about being able to use texture bettering mods. Then I recently came across this mod: Bomrets Detailed Normal Maps for Vanilla Version 1.1 http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10419 I am really satisified with the result of this mod. It does not really change the textures. What it does is changing the normal maps with more detaliled ones. This makes the textures more detailed without whithout changing the appearence of them to much. I have not experienced any noticeable performance drop by using this mod. Tes Nexus has not the file uploaded but they provide two mirrors (Filefront and Planet Elderscrolls). I don´t like to register on more sites than nessesary therefore I searched for a site to download it without need to subscrible. I found this site: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/theelde....html?details=1This is where I downloaded the file.
