LHammonds
I just got word that Bethesda is shutting down all support for their games, canceling Fallout and closing their doors. Ok, I'm just kidding. I have no idea what is going on with their site. I just know that I have not been able to access their site for about 12 hours now. Still inaccessible as of 11:00 CST Probably network or server issues but one could only hope it's just maintenance and maybe even upgrades. :D LHammonds
Tommy_H
Geez, but it is taking a long time now. It's now 7:30 Central European Time. Maybe it's due to their newly announced cooperation with Splash Damage. It did good damage then.... ;D

DarkWarrior45
Could this have something to do with the H1 datacenter that caught fire this past weekend? H1 is the datacenter that Zetaboards and InvisionFree have their servers tied into, and the datacenter has a domain server there on site that is down at the moment. Could this downed DNS server have something to do with Bethsoft being down?
Tommy_H
Could this have something to do with the H1 datacenter that caught fire this past weekend? Is Bethsoft telephone still working? Of course it's too early right now to call them in California...

Could this downed DNS server have something to do with Bethsoft being down?Nah, they would have all gone down around the same time if that was the case. I suspect it would have more to do with Bethsoft's partnership with Spash Damage, and that's a real stretch.
GBHis
Anyone considered DDoS? I'm not saying someone doesn't like Bethesda, but Beth may be hosted with some other firm? BTW, if it had something to do with that datacenter, it'd be all down, not just fading in and out.
abo2
BTW, if it had something to do with that datacenter, it'd be all down, not just fading in and out.Actually, I'm betting on the datacenter. DNS has TimeToLive caching information, so after the authoritative (and secondaries) server went up in flames they would have faded in and out for a while depending on which DNS caches you hit that may or may not have had a cached copy of the last answer... but once the TTL is exceeded they will have been purged from all caches and they are now hard-down.
