Game not even launching

Hey all,

 

Long time lurker, first-time poster. I'm having an issue where whenever I launch Skyrim steam says it's launched, I see it up in task manager, but after a few seconds, it stops. Never see a loading screen, error code, or menu.

 

I literally have no idea whats going wrong here is my mod load order as I see that being a necessity to anyone trying to help. Loot said it was all good.

Have you tried it with fewer mods? Does vanilla work? You may have to disable a majority mods to see if you still have the problem. If you still do, then maybe check your antivirus.

 

Did you press the sort button in LOOT? It doesn't look sorted.

• DLC order is Dawnguard, HearthFires, Dragonborn. You have it backwards.
• Don't use two weather overhauls. Choose either Vivid Weathers or Climate of Tamriel.
• You have an old brawl bug fix. Replace it with Modern Brawl Bug Fix.
• Ultimate Follower Overhaul is somewhat unstable. You can replace it with Extensible Follower Framework, Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks or Follower Live Package.

aMidianBorn - Book of Silence - Content Addon has a whole list of things that need doing and none of it is listed on the Description page. Instead, you have to go to the Posts page and read the stickies, and then go to the forum page and read the first post. Among the items are:

• Get the 3 hotfixes and overwrite the original files
• Manually rename the Textures\actors\dlc02\ash directory to ashman
• Manually move and enable the Improved Closefaced Helmets patch (imp_helm_legend.esp) if you're using that mod
• Disable aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp, Differently Ebony.esp and AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp

And of course, the usual memory fixes:

• Make sure you have the SKSE Memory Patch set up.
• Install Crash Fixes and be sure to read the description.
• Install Bug Fixes. Not absolutely required, but it has some nice fixes that aren't covered by USLEEP.
• Install Load Game CTD Fix. It fixes a thread race condition when loading save games.
• ENBoost - This gives you the memory management features of ENB without the visual effects processing. Not needed if you run an ENB.
