pcaviator
I use a heavily modded skyrim & nexus mod manager. My grandson started playing skyrim the other day, so I setup a separate profile with just Unofficial SSE patch enable. We saved his game in Bleak Falls Barrow, I enabled my profile & played the game. Today, I reverted NMM to the vanilla profile, but when I load his saved game skyrim reports a list of all missing mods from my game in his save & cannot load his saved-game because the save is "corrupted". Any ideas what's going on, & how to get his saved game to work ? Edited October 30, 2017 by pcaviator
gromulos
I think this needs to be reported to the Nexus team as a bug Also, if the game is reporting that your mods are missing from his save, that save is completely lost because ALL of your mods listed by the game that it's reporting have been "baked" into his save I think what may have happened is you started the new game for him with out REstarting skyrim, so the mods were already loaded into memory even if they were disabled by NMM Edited October 30, 2017 by gromulos
pcaviator
So I investigated further. Turns out my grandson's game can be loaded (its not actually corrupted) under my mod profile. Looks like I disabled all mods except USSEP on my profile. Interesting then, that the game still saved as though all mods were running. I guess the issue was that esp's still looked like the game was using them. Now to figure out how to rid the saved game of the unwanted mods ? gromulos
my suggestion, if you can, would be for you to play your game on Special Edition, and let your grandson play on the original, problem solved
