Jeddaven
I recently noticed a rather major issue when playing sse -- in third person mode, only my character's eyes, teeth, and hair are visible, and, in first person, all I can see on her body are untextured grey blocks in place of what looks like part of her forearms. Third person: First Person: The issue appeared after I installed and used the Unique Character Tool ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11080/? ), and I'm guessing I may have misused it. I have uninstalled the mod, but the issue persists. Is there any way to repair the damage? I have tried verifying files on steam, including after deleting the NIF files in "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\Actors\Character\character assets" (which appear to be void of anything). I'm no expert, of course -- just my amateurish attempts to troubleshoot. I've also tried a number of solutions that I found by looking up the issue and similar issues online -- no luck there, either.Edit: Should I still post my load order? I assumed it wasn't relevant since the issue only appeared after a specific mod was installed.
twowolves80
Oh, no! You deleted the NIFs! The nifs (short of opening them in NifSkope to check) are not empty. They're an invisible wireframe that the texture is wrapped around like skin. You may have deleted the mesh for the body, or it can't find it now. Are you using CBBE? UNP? You could install one of those and force it to assign a new body, which should take care of it. You can also open Outfit Studio and try to find the body meshes using Load Reference under File. Are you using NMM? If so, you may have to look in NMM's folder for character assets and see if the skelly is still in there along with the nifs. Otherwise, just reinstall a body replacer mod and go from there. If you have to install any skelly, I would recommend XPMSE and then run FNIS through NMM to validate the animations and new skeleton.
