Veizuh18
I honestly donât think the the Skyrim flora overhaul should be affecting my 1080 as bad as it is, my specs go as followsEVGA GTX 1080 SCI7-7700k 4.2GHz Quad core 32GB RAMBut it drops to at least 40 frames with it enabled And also why does my aeon enb uncap my frame rate? I hate the physics bug after 60 FPS
Deleted3082751User
Skyrim has a Badly Optimized Engine, basically meaning this is very likely not a hardware issue (unless you are playing the game at resolutions higher then 1080p), but an Engine Issue. Oldrim has poor memory management, try Crash Fixes, Memory Management to see if it improves performance (Check Crash Fixes main page for more info on this) Crash Fixes = https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/? For Example: My Old Radeon 7970 + Vurts Flora Overhaul (Oldrim) Performance = 30 fps My Old Radeon 7970 + Vurts Flora Overhaul (Skyrim Special Edition) Performance = Solid 60 fps so yea, the 1080 is on a whole other level of performance compared to the oldschool Radeon 7970, so you should not be getting anywhere near the fps i used to get (your fps should at very least be double the fps my old card used to get). Note: Fps = Average case in point, 64bit Skyrim Special edtion has vastly superior memory management, it also just runs mods far better anyway, another example is jk skyrim, runs vastly better on Special Edition, and lags heavily on Oldrim. 2. Did you turn the Framerate Limiter on, in Enblocal.ini (it will be off by default, however this will also depend if the enb preset author turned it on or not) 2a. if the enb framerate limiter is not working, then i suggest Msi Afterburner (highly recommend this program anyway) this program allows hardware monitoring in game, as well as framerate limiter (which will override anything else) and grants the ability to record gameplay, and take high quality screenshots (all of these are part of Rivatuner, which is part of Msi Afterburner) Note: while many people say do not run overlays with ENB, i have been running Msi Afterburner for a very long time now (and Likewise Rivatuner), and also ENB as well, and have never had a single issue, with both of them being on at the same time, so yea, you can run rivatuner and enb at the same time, and you should not experience issues. (Rivatuner being an overlay) Note: Msi Afterburner has never let me down when it comes to Framerate Capping, ENB however has in the past (in other words i enabled frame rate limiter in enb settings but like your issue above, it did not actually cap the framerate) so yea, i highly recommend you download Msi Afterburner. if you need help setting it up (pretty straight forward however) let me know. also what resolution are you playing on, out of curiosity Edited November 2, 2017 by Guest
