mindmonkey
As you might know the game got updated today. I am not using SKSE64 just the "regular mods". Now when I try to load any savegame the game crashes about two seconds into the loading screen. anyone else experiencing this?
mindmonkey
people are freaking out over at steam that their game is broken, and here are 18 views but no answer? am I the only one having this problem? or am I the only one stupid enough to not prevent the update or backing up files? :)
Terrminus
Mine crashed on trying to load a save as well. Was a couple of dll files from a fps fix that was causing it, just removed them and it's at least starting a new game now.Don't know about my game saves as i use skse64 and it's a no go just now. iXenite
Like the other poster mentioned, anything you place in the Skyrim folder may be causing the crash. For future reference. Terrminus
Nice try at ruining thousands of players games for a few creation club updates Bethesda but some nice person uploaded the old exe on steam.
FireBomb9
Like mindmonkey I am getting crash to desk top since update. Played this morning with no issues. Do not use SKSE, just regular mods. Any help appreciated
mindmonkey
@Terrminus: Thanks a lot... you were right, SSE fixes caused it. I reverted the binkw64.dll for now. I guess they will update it soon! @daddy direction: thank you for the link. that's the tool I need. unfortunately it requires skse64. I wanted to wait a little with that until they exit alpha stage. FireBomb9
Hello all, I disabled SSE Fixes in Nexus Mod Manager and am now able to load my save games. Thank you all for the tip. I will keep an eye out for an update to that mod.

I have SKSE64 loaded for this mod only. Because of that, I'm still running a 1.4 version...even after accidentally loading the game one day thru the steam launcher. That WILL run the update automatically. With the tool, I just reverted back and bingo. I had to learn the hard way when they first loaded CC into FO4
