mrenfrew
Im not at all computer literate so please dont flame. My question is, For people who are on a limited internet plan or internet gets throttled at peak times, is there a difference between directly downloading a mod from Nexus and/or manually downloading big mods to say desktop and installing with NMM later? Some mods will say in thr description that manual download is not advised. Im just not sure how NMM works under the hood so If it makes any difference where the file is when you tell NMM to install it.
WastelandAssassin
technically , there isn't really any differencethe point is that manual installation isn't recommended , not manual downloads so yeah , as long as you know how to add mods from files to NMM or MO (which is easy as hell) , you can download manually without any problem

WastelandAssassin
well , I hope for your sake you're not planning on using too many large mods , as they could take so long to download like this......but I'm glad I was able to help , if only a little
HeyYou
I have a specific folder just to download mods to, and then install when the mood strikes me. Keeps my desktop clean, and doesn't clog my downloads folder.
mrenfrew
Thank You, Ive got a fence (Thanks Gopher for the idea) where im keeping the original mods so I can compare files Ive moddified to the original files, or reinstall when I mess up.
