ursamajor27
I was messing around with OTH999d.lvl to try and improve the lighting so I could see better when creating characters. I managed to brighten the background, but the light that shines directly on the PC doesn't seem much brighter. It's highly likely that I'm just not good at this yet and could improve it if I keep trying, but I wanted to ask: is it possible to create a new level that is outdoors and brightly lit and convert it to OTH999d.lvl? I apologize if this is a stupid question. I've been reading all the wikis and tutorials and forum posts that I can find, but it's still confusing to me. LadyHonor
Sure, but it's going to require a lot of editing to get it to look right in the game. First of all, create a new level, give the layout name in the area properties oth999d. you'll have to play around with your atmosphere settings to get it looking as you want in game and in most cases, you'll have to add character lights. in the actual character stage area, you'll have to rearrange the waypoints to accommodate the new area layout.
