fedricthefloofer Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 So, my fallout has recently crashed a lot when I am in sanctuary, near the last house that codsworth kills bloatflys in and trying to cross the bridge. I have tried 3 things to fix this issue, but can't seem to nail the issue I have tried; Removing all mods and starting afresh file. reinstalling fallout completely Organising my load order with LOOT I did find a fix for this but it seems to be a little bit of an issue because I need to activate mods, I have found that when I add[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= To my Fallout4Custom.ini file it causes the game to crash to desktop, I know it is this file because I ran the game with no mods and only this line of code changed and it still crashed, but as soon as I removed it the same save file did not crash in sanctuary at all. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
Stiffon Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I've just modded FO4 and getting the ctd as I cross the bridge out of Sanctuary! I also have those files, but as you say, need them for mods?!
Tylersteinfeldt01 Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Those lines are not the issue. Make sure they are also in your normal fallout4 ini and that both INIs match. It could be a conflict with the game trying to read the wrong ini file or both at the same time. I had this issue and doing this fixed it. If your problem persists, double check your load order, use LOOT. If it continues, you have a corrupt mod somewhere and might have to do a 1 by 1 uninstall/reinstall check
