Okay so I'm (amongst other things) in the process of concepting my first custom weapon which is based on the theme of a sci fi hand cannon. So we're talking an oversized handgun with a cyclinder loading system and a sci fi feel to it. I've already started looking for images on this theme and stumbed across a lot of destiny concept art which is pretty cool and fits the theme (I've never played this though.) However if you have any images of this kind of weapon you'd like to share that would be great.

 

Please remember this is a suggestions thread not a request thread. I am looking for inspiration and the final product will be the result of mashing various things I like together and working on it until it really fits my liking. I do plan on making stocks and scopes for this weapon as well as different cyclnders where capacity can be swapped out for stoppoing power. So I'm interested in images of that sort of thing too. So yeah, if you have a moment shoot me an image.

^the above is probably one of the more intriguing.

 

that cochrane rotary pepperbox is awesome,

splaw-foot 8-shooter revolver from the frontier,

the over-under (410 with 9mm auto, not revolver),

serbu concept revolvers (as demonstrated by the talented 50CalVal doing a "rhodesian draw")

a spring-steel ratchet-revolver,

golan rhino-hi-expansion 308 lapua 'wrist-breaker' holdoff

 

basically, so long as it doesn't resemble a spray-painted cosplay nerf implement,

it's all good.

you're alright rotton-core,

it's the least I can do relative to the awesome exegetical stuff you've shared in the past.

 

here's hoping some of that is in the right ballpark.

or that this stokes a candle under the Forgotten Weapons Parts Pack project

(they make _nX^! worth of bits for folks to kludge with Any Mod Any Weapon)

which I have to give a shout-out to, they are doing excellent collabing.

 

there are more exegetical 'art' side sketch stuff that's more in keeping with

Adamowicz's art vision.

 

 

 

a lot of those khyber-pass 'ornamental implements'

look surprisingly good alongside MIB parts pack.

they're entirely impractical, though they look great in the fallout verse hehe.

 

then, there's "Dr Grordborts",

and all manner of cannibalized antiques.

most of the handles are ~50s through 80s power drills and retail-pricing stuff,

antique umbrellas, don't forget copious solenoids,

gasclamp brackets and picatinny that doesn't seem to do anything.

or parts from machine production,

 

the nozzle is often a ~10's-30's bug sprayer or iron/welder etc.

often, the 'scope' is a custom kaleidoscope, or plate diffraction of like ishihara or demoivre.

sometimes, it's a proper high-gain fibreoptic which makes a 'pepper's ghost' for a true "holographic sight".
