saadus
I simply can't hold my mouth shut. I am going to be a dad in June! =)Planning on getting married soon after. Wish me luck! (Advice will be helpful. Slightly terrified of the prospect, to be honest!) Edited March 14, 2012 by saadus

AliasTheory
Fantastic! Good luck to you. Life doesn't truly prepare you to be a parent until you've been one. It's always a challenge. What you can prepare for though are many sleepless nights in the beginning. That's like a ritual or something.
SuperAxilla
Congratulations! :) Everything will be fine. It is absolutely normal to be nervous. Everyone always is (usually and especially with a first child.) I think you'll find that your life has become all the better in starting your own family. Good luck. TheVampireDante
Start preparing for many nights without sleep. Loud noises disturbing your rare moments of rest and having to learn a massive amount of new skills to.... Hell, your a gamer - this'll be a snap. Seriously though, congrats and I hope everything goes well for you, your partner and the new arrival once they make it into the world. Just remember - plan ahead and plan often, but don't expect it to ever run just as you've planned it. Flexibility for the situations to come is going to be required. Oh, and don't overpay the babysitter if you use one, they get lazy.
saadus
Thanks for the advice so far. As for sleepless nights, I slept through an earthquake. I doubt if thats going to be a problem ;) Babysitters? 'fraid my soon-to-be-bride will take that role. What I am afraid of is the diapers...God, the diapers.
