ianfreddie07
If you're talking about porting mods to the XBox 360, then... No. I don't think you can.

bben46
All of the console games are 'locked' systems. They do not allow any changes either to the hardware or software. In order to write mods, you would need to know details of their operating system that the maker is not willing to release. They make the game designers sign contracts that do not allow them to put in the features that would allow modding. The reason they do this (they claim) is to keep their system stable. Coincidentally, it allows them to take a commission on all games sold for their system. If you haven't noticed, some mods for the PC version cause a lot of problems with the game. We have to constantly tweek our system, mod load order and what mods we have installed to play at all. Modders are usually people who have some programming experience. Those who don't have programming experience will probably have some by the time they get a mod to work. Also, not just any PC will work. Oblivion is very picky about the hardware that it requires to work well. Most PCs made just a few years ago are just not powerful to run it. If you are considering getting the PC version, make sure the PC you want to run it on will work. The specs say a minimum of 512Meg of Ram, but with that it won't run very well. 1 Gig of ram is nearly required. The rest of the specs are similar, they are the absolute minimum you will need just to get it to start. Pay special attention to the video card. many older cards are not compatible at all. Naminea
Not to mention that if microsoft found out you modded your xbox version of Oblivion, they will take your hard drive a wipe it.
Vagrant0
Not to mention that if microsoft found out you modded your xbox version of Oblivion, they will take your hard drive a wipe it.They don't own your xbox. They can't actually have any claim to wipe it or anything like that. At most, they would just block you from using Xbox live, and no longer honor your warranty. And since your average person wouldn't know where to begin with such a task, and would likely break their system completely in the process even if they did, it is still not suggested.
