memlapse
I am a semi-pro violinist and have been for almost 30 years. I can think of at least 10 pieces written over a span of several hundred years that have very similar tempos and melodies to the skyrim theme. It is very possible the composer was influenced or inspired by any one of these pieces, as well as Enya. I don't see (hear) a foul here.
CarlCorey
These songs sound nothing alike, except they are both 4/4 tempo (which 80% of music is)The transcriptions I've seen are in 6/4 time but I agree that it has a 4/4 "feel" if you count it as though everything were triplets. Fatalmasterpiece
Vanilla Ice got away with ripping off Queen's Under Pressure by changing ONE NOTE. These songs sound nothing alike, except they are both 4/4 tempo (which 80% of music is) 120 is a tempo, 4/4 time is called common time for a reason. NoobusExtremus
The point is, the original post is ridiculous. Yeah, but at least it's got a useless poll attached to it.
