Doef
Hey there I've been checking the Nexus everyday for an update for a mod which would actually display both weapons you sheathe when you are dual wielding instead of the current one, for me this is a massive eyesore and frustrates me to no end,I am curious to know if there are modders looking at addressing this overlooked aspect of the game. I would be so grateful to see this mod come to fruition and I am fairly certain that it would garner a top 100 placing pretty quickly since I am bound to not be the only person thinking this is ridiculous from an immersion point of view.I would make the mod myself if I knew how to mod or wanted to learn but I would love it if one of the talented individuals on this site could put the time aside to create this mod. Thanks,Doef
Brandy1123
Good idea. I'm not a modder myself, but i do walk through skins and framework just to look at what people did. I think that would mean someone would have to render ALL the weapon scabberds because they are reversed on the other side of the body. Maybe they can just be moved, but I think you'd get a lot of clipping because of the angle they were created for. Maybe an experienced modder could shed some light on this. kinglouie
Yeah I have requested this and it has been requested numerous times before. There must be something very difficult about doing this because it would have been on the nexus by now.
Moraelin
I don't think the game actually supports it, basically. HOWEVER, there is a sort of a cheat one can do when making a mesh, namely just glue a second weapon to the scabbard of the first one. I do that with the wakizashi and katana in the Weapons Of The Shogunate. It's not perfect (the second weapon is never actually drawn), and it NEEDS to know exactly what weapon combination you'll use. Katana and wakizashi was an easy guess, but if you want to use something arbitrary like orcish dagger and gladius, well, someone would have to make a dual-scabbard weapon for exactly that combination. Electric0eye
Haha I asked for the same thing, as have many, many other people. But no matter where I look people keep saying its not possible. I'm not a modder but I've been around the Nexus a long time, and I'd be surprised if anything was completely impossible to mod in TES. xDI've got my hopes up eventually a mod for that will come out, whoever made it would become pretty popular. :P
Doef
Yeah I agree although I have no modding experience I have been around the TES series since Morrowind in the early days and some of the outstanding mods I've seen lead me to hope that this will be possible at some point A bit of a bummer that it's so hard to do would be great if the bethesda devs would just mod it and release it.Anyway I'm still around everyday trying to see if this mod has been developed because it's the only one I really have an interest in the development of at the moment. RaktoastTheSandwichTopper
i suggest we raise a s*** storm on the betesda forum and have them release it in the next patch/dlc >:)
Electric0eye
i suggest we raise a s*** storm on the betesda forum and have them release it in the next patch/dlc >:) Haha I'm definitely not opposed to this idea. XDI love Bethesda, they're a good, no, great game company. But they always seem to overlook these small things that tend to be so irritating. They should really make that in a patch.
