Waller91
**This is an attempt to re-create my Oblivion topic** http://www.techdigest.tv/skyrim%206.jpg Greetings Dragonslayers. I have been playing Skyrim for a little over four months and to be completely honest, I have never fought a battle worth its hype..Even with difficulty on max, there seem to be no true BOSS fights. Never have I faced a warrior whose back story, was enough to back his blade. I have yet to face a mage whose magic was faster than the shout. Nor has the thick plate of my Nord been penetrated by the slithering assassins...My greatest fight was not Alduin, but a mere excitable Dragon Priest..I have always taken great pride in my RPG stratagem, and anyone reading this very sentence must feel the same about their abilities. But I did not create this topic so I could boast, or brag about my adventures... I made it so YOU can. What was your best fight? At what point did you realize that the battle before you, was the most epic event your adventurer had experienced? What foul being tested your skills the most? http://oyster.ignimgs.com/franchises/images/04/48/44843_Skyrim308.jpg Use this topic to post your most decorated warrior doing his/her finest. Put your money where your mouth is, and show us that your character is the God of Tamriel. Dont just take pride in your ability and hide it to yourself, show the world. Reveal your characters name-race-class-level-stats-specialty(player ability)-and if your wish, back story. Feel free to gloat as much as you like, this is a place for champions, let us share our stories as the vikings of old did. http://www.meh.ro/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/meh.ro8768.png So what of it, Hero? Hows your mettle? Let the boasting begin. Edited March 16, 2012 by Waller_91
CurseOfDarkness
Well I'm running deadly dragons, deadly combat (with stagger spam), playing in master, height adjusted races with true giants, serious mammoths, just recently added "Godlike Dragonpriests". And I'm going to have to agree there's a lack of boss monsters in Skyrim.. embarrassingly so. The hardest battles I've had were when I wasn't specialized (all 5 perks in the first tree star) once you get those it's pretty much game over :\ I suppose the only thing to do now is get some iron/hide/nord armor and kill dragons with a 1h iron sword. Made 3 characters;A Level 44 High Elf for my first playthrough that ended once I got full destruction with that lame ass stagger perk.. I stopped playing because those destruction spells are basically hitscan (point and click..) with a full 20%/20%/20%/20%/20% reduction to destruction cost obtained without cheats, as well as another set of magic to each piece.. probably boosting health and stamina because I didn't know about the heavy armor perk that lets you run as if you were naked yet... Also, I usually make a high elf in TES games first to play with the particle cannons of death.. in skyrim it's just ridiculous.. out of magicka? It's okay you can throw your enemy 40 ft away... Fus Ro DAH! I got illusion and always went solo everywhere so I was basically a tank of death.. I actually remember one time I climbed a mountain and was shocking Alduin and he was just flying around with invincibility near Rorikstead, just to see if I could initiate the fight. His name is Xenitar. A Level 56 Khajiit specializing in alteration, sneak, smithing, enchanting, light armor, alchemy, archery, and pickpocketing.. after seeing Karliah I fell in love. Light armor.. I basically went through the whole game shooting everyone in the head, and always stealing boss souls when possible. By far the easiest playthrough but mostly because I didn't have a lot of the hard mods on yet for this STILL....... I had starting adding them at the end though and they made me decide to make my next character. I eventually got 100 pickpocketing so I can steal people pants :) your pants are not safe. For this whole character I tried to never use dragon shouts. He has not yet beat Alduin OR joined a side in the war :) and on the last save I'm on my way to get the lover's stone blessing and marry Muiri (already engaged). I plan on letting Parthurnaax live. Needless to say.. there's no use for illusion when you can make potions of invisibility that last 100 seconds :P I stopped playing after crafting 2 sets of light elven for potions and smithing, both gave +108%.. +308% with the perk stars. Yol Toor SHUL! His name is Phaen.http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/5659/2011122000010crop.jpg A Level 50 Redguard specializing in two-handed, alchemy, heavy armor, smithing, enchanting, alteration and soon destruction, one-handed, blocking, light armor and archery (somehow, I'll find a way to fit it in >.>) just for the hell of it. He's actually modelled after Guts from berserk and I DO use the dragonslayer.. but I've only killed 1 dragon with it so far, I had been using another weapon that I created myself (see my single hosted file) however I think I just might do that iron/hide armor thing I was talking about earlier because I can just make potions & poisons that are so epic.. and I don't even have nearly full alchemy yet. I am married to Casca, a custom level 42 Redguard I put in the game that wears full daedric, my old set before I shed into dragonslayer's dragonbone armor. I consider her "resurrected" from a past version of herself. She uses a condescending voice and it's perfect. Unfortunately skyrims facegen kinda sucks so neither of them look anything like the anime characters.. but it adds to the hilarity. I also tried not using shouts as much as possible. I probably had one of the hardest fight on this character: the first dragon and I forgot to buy arrows >.> with deadly dragons mod. I had to go run around suicidally to collect arrows and keep my head safe. I died many times and am disciplined enough not to save mid-fight. Serious mammoths 3k was pretty intense in the early game too. Now that I have ingredients, this character's basically invincible (carries like 400 pots). Unfortunately my picture taking skills are garbage so.... meh. I don't console cheat anything except "tfc" for screenies.. I'm not one to boast though and I think I've done enough already :)http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/6594/screenshot33637crop.jpgThis character also hasn't chosen a side in the war, but I will most likely join the stormcloaks.. the lore for this character is simply that the father was a nord. He doesn't go by the name of "Guts", but instead "Corpsey". Also my brother has an Orc that he hasn't played for a long time but I think it's like level 47 too.. Specializing in dual-wielding maces. He smashes peoples shields down and then actually rips their head off with the bar of the mace. I've barely scratched the dragon priests on all of these.. I'm still kind of waiting for a mod to make this game even harder.. I might make a personal mod like that myself using things that deadly dragons does (gives negative resists and stuff). I don't play often though.. I prefer balanced online games. Cool thread. Edited March 16, 2012 by CurseOfDarkness

Please oh please, if u had lost half of your fights, did u recommend this game to friends? think man. more good fights = more happy adventurersmore fights = more .. do i need say moremore wins.... why u think the b left game unfinished? because modders exist, and if game itself is too easy, modders make it harder, who cares in b camp, because u can do nice moves is the game winner, also profit winner. CurseOfDarkness
Please oh please, if u had lost half of your fights, did u recommend this game to friends? Probably :P It's like you said.. you kind of make your own challenge.. with my last 2 characters I stayed away from everything truly challenging (so I can do it later with crappy gear) but I mean it's very obvious that I could just drink potions of resist and wear 1 single ring and be well off vs. the dragon priests.. which is ridiculous.. you'd think that Bethesda of all companies would do something like deadly dragons does and give the priests attacks that not only do elemental damage, but lower your resistance to that element..... how hard is that? :P well it's like you say.. that's what the CK is for. Nexus helps a lot too.. people release mods that show you exactly which variables can be moved around and still stable, and you just look at those and think about what ELSE you can apply it to.. There's even tools so that you could package a bunch of mods and share it with friends via file hosting sites letting them experience your challenges. However, I do agree with you.. nothing was really challenging in vanilla skyrim :\ once you get used to what you need to be bringing to deadly dragons fights, that starts to become more and more "normal" too.. because you know what you need to prepare for. That's part of RELEASE that's better than downloading mods though imo.. downloading mods you research what you're getting, so you kind of have an idea what you're going to be up against.. on release if you stay disciplined enough.. I beat the whole game with my high elf without having to go on the internet once...... but I mean they give you clairvoyance and being able to mark your map so even that wasn't much of a challenge. Ocasionally, I suppose.. again though, at lower levels.. the first tree star with 0/5, when full, becomes stupid powerful.. because like you say there's simply no real boss using 5/5....... or for that matter, multiple stars full. The thing that bothers me more than that though is that races don't use their racial power when attacked - you'd think that would be easy to program into the AI. I actually requested something like this.. and even that AI should use potions... although I don't know much about AI myself. Edit: Basically.. if they made the game ridiculously hard, there would be mods to also "tone it down". It goes both ways. Unfinished? A game is never released unfinished, players just always want more. ;)The rest of what you said isnt really grammar, so I dont know how to reply to that...Modders dont make it harder, they make it better...They add things to the game that they wish they had, to suit their personal preferences. And it doesnt matter if I had lost ALL of my fights, Skyrim is still a great game. The combat is still immersive, there is just no giant, epic battles that you would experience in Final Fantasy, or any MMO. You're right, more good fights do equal more happy adventures, its just too bad those "good fights" are rare. The most HP I have seen on anything in Skyrim, is only 1400HP...Are you serious? Thats it? I would rather spend an hour fighting a 200ft tall monster with roughly 20K+HP. THAT is a real battle. I, myself, have not made a Khajiit character in any of the ES games, but I look forward to doing so on Skyrim. I wish I had Skyrim for PC like most, so that I could enjoy the endless amounts of Mods add-ons...The redguards featured on your last picture, look to be quite the dynamic duo. The male kinda looks like Ahtar (Ahtor?) the executioner from Solitude. I was rather disappointing when I realized you could not upgrade the Headsman axe...Once again, just wish I had Skyrim for PC...I can also understand you 100% on your first account, I made a High elf just for Destruction magic, and once I could throw spells as fast as I pleased, there was no more challenge. Even at lvl5 with difficulty on master, you are pretty much untouchable if you can just get really good at magic/enchanting. Its like they never stopped to think about just how OP someone can make themselves in Skyrim...My highest character is a lvl56 Nord-Tank, and once that mofo had a daedric 2H on his back, it was game over. I traveled to sovngarde and beat the game before I was even aware it was the final boss fight...So disappointing...
