Favourite Gun ;P

a german friend of me who went to massachusetts (however its spelled lol) and was an active jiu jitsu (or ninjutsu mmh...) athlete back there told me that it was illegal... honestly i have no reason not to believe him... he said it was prohibited cause you could kill with these techniques but i think its more thought to prevent you from training the same techniques as the law enforcement thus preventing you from learning counter techniques... still i think thats total nonsense as you could kill with any bloody thing even a sheet of paper... and owning a gun imo is much more dangerous than knowing how to break a neck by hand... the fact that oh so many (if not most) gun victims get killed by their own gun alone shows that it is dangerous to rely on an object for safety, an object that can be taken from you... but if you are yourself part of that object or the object is part of you (aka your fist) then youll always have the means to defend yourself wheter youre armed or not and no badguy can take that skill from you...

just another law to keep the citizens under control to be able to do any poo you like imo...

I think the illegality of what your friend was trying to tell you may actually be related to teaching such arts without the proper permits, rather than going to the local dojo and learning them for defense.

Then again, this may also be a minor misunderstanding or urban legend that may have originated with an old Jean-Claude Van Dam movie where he killed someone and the court deemed his body a lethal weapon and prohibited him from ever fighting.

My dad, chief of police for near half my lifetime, is close friends with the local sheriff. At a function BBQ one weekend, a group of cops were joking about how big I was (compared to when they knew me as a kid). As a joke, I told the sheriff I'd forgotten to stop by the station and get registered, it was funny at the time, but later he told me that if anyone really walked into his station and said "I'm here to register myself as a lethal weapon..." he'd lock them up until the hospital sent a shrink to check him out.

So, while it's no secret that I have always preferred my hands over a firearm, to say "I am a lethal weapon, I'm so good it's illegal" is just fantasy driven ego stroking. It's not real, at least not in this state.

regarding that lethal weapon stuff... dunno the laws in the states regarding that but in germany if your kill someone in a brawl and you had knowledge of self defense and had the chance to back out... youre a murder... if you never had any lessons youre just an unlucky pal who will not get murder charges as it will be deemed as an accident in self defense... i think its similiar in the states (only remember that con air movie - which is of course not necessarily a good example lol - ... but thats basicly the thing)

man why cant i go into a police station and say im a deadly weapon of my own kind? theyll lock you up? woha... in france youd get a job in the foreign legion lol... just walk in a police station, say you wanna kill and whoop up you go into the basic evaluation in castel (if youre not a complete honk that is)...

My favorite guns are all based on video games with no knowlege of what their like in the real world, in fact outside of games I don't particularly like guns but here goes. I love the Dragonov SDV I've always seen it depicted as an acurate and powerful rifle. I also love the M4-A1/M203 combo purely based on how they look and again they always seem to be depicted as reliable guns. My favorite sidearm is easily the Deagle .50, all shooter games I play the Deagle is my signature weapon and it seems to always have the coolest sound when fired, just gotta love the hand cannons.

@woogie's first post: OMGWTFBBQROLLERCOASTER%^GRARG thats not a gun thats a friggin lead hose.

Once your in the Army, you start to hate your weapon simply for the fact you have to carry it everywhere! But anyways I like the FN P90 but I have an M-4 with a M203 attachment with a 68 and an extended 45 round magazine

I've always liked the Luger, I don't know why. I think it started while studying WWII and playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It just seems so sexy and, nazi-bondage? I hope its okay to say that word here, lol.

nice choice. Probably one of the most durable and outstanding pistols of all time, the luger proved time and time again that it could take any kind of punishment and still deliver a knock down punch.
