Modded Skyrim CTD at ''random'' times.

Hello everyone,

Iam trying to play the Skyrim Legendary edition with a lot of mods installed.
Everytime when i start a new game, when i am walking outside my game CTD's. (Iam not sure if this only happens when iam near a town, since i use the Alternate Start Mod i am spawning quite near a few cities.) But everytime when iam in game for just under 2 minutes it crashes.

Iam using the latest version of SKSE, Loot and MO. I have cleaned almost any ITM record expect for the moonpath to Elsewyr one since i can recall that i should not delete that one.

(Since iam not using ELFX Enhancer and ELE Patch for IC, i just unchecked them but not uninstalled them).

I have tried reinstalling my game to a vanilla skyrim, reinstalled all my mods (3 times now), but iam still unable to find out what is causing my crashes.

My pc specs:

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
Intel® Core i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00Ghz.
7.94 Gb RAM
1920x1080, 60Hz

My drivers are up to date aswell.

I would be verry much pleased if someone would be able to help me resolve my issue.

Things I noticed:

• Alternate Start - Live Another Life is too high up. Sort your load order with LOOT.
• Helgen Reborn has to be disabled when you start a new game and only enabled after finishing the "Unbound" quest. For Alternate Start, you usually have to go back to Helgen cave to do this. It depends on which start you choose though. See the mod description pages for both.
• Since you don't have Ultimate Follower Overhaul, disable HothFollower UFO Patch.esp.
• I don't think you're supposed to use Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul Lite and Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul at the same time.
• If you added or removed anything, then be sure to redo your bashed patch.

Hi there, I hope what i have to add will help you out.

 

My first thought's is to remove open cities and try again with it disabled in MO. When i tried open cities it was real nice, but would conflict with other mod's i had installed.

 

2nd would be to install Crash Fix if you haven't already done so, it's an invaluable tool to have.

 

3rd is to set up your SKSE.ini to generate dump log's. Edit your skse.ini and add the following lines. Then when your skyrim has a CTD it will write a dump at location "My Games\skyrim\SKSE\Crashdumps" After it's generated you will need to upload the file here http://www.osronline.com/page.cfm?name=Analyze and after a few minutes it will spit out the content's and hopefully shed more light on the problem's

I have done everything you all said, but it's still not working. Iam loading mods 1 at the time now to find the issue.

I haven't been able to find the SKSE.ini though, so i can't make the adjustment.

The SKSE.ini should be at Skyrim\Data\SKSE\skse.ini.

The SKSE.ini files doesn't actually come with SKSE. You have to create one yourself. I'm not sure why they did it that way. The easy way is simply to install SKSE ini pre-download for lazy users. The mod is just an SKSE.ini file, nothing else. I forgot to post my usual list of fixes:

• Install Crash Fixes and be sure to read the description.
• Install Bug Fixes. Not absolutely required, but it has some nice fixes that aren't covered by USLEEP.
• Install Load Game CTD Fix. It fixes a thread race condition when loading save games.
• ENBoost - This gives you the memory management features of ENB without the visual effects processing. Not needed if you run an ENB.
• If you still have issues, you can monitor your stats with Skyrim Performance Monitor.

I downloaded the SKSE ini, it doesnt crash after 2 mins anymore, but it crashes after about 30 mins, so thats some kind of improvement :P.

 

Ill try Grospolina's 'usual list of fixes' now.

Okay, i have tried everything mentioned above, and it didn't CTD.

 

Instead, after about 1 hour in game, the game just froze. My pc didn't.

This probably won't do much, but disable Immersive Citizens - ELE patch. You seem to be using ELFX instead of ELE.
