nexusmarko
I have recently started modding fallout 3 for the first time, i am using mod organizer. Everything was going well until i got to FO3Edit. For some reason i dont have a plugins.txt file, only a "DLCList.txt" file, and FO3Edit needs that file to do anything. Also when i tried using FO3Edit in MO it was trying to find my fallout 4 files for some reason, i have no clue what to do since i am not very experienced with modding. Why do i not have a plugins file? I can run fallout 3 just fine by the way, this problem seems to only affect FO3Edit, i also tried putting the FO3Edit files in my game directory, didnt work. I tried looking around the internet for answers, but nothing. I would really really appreciate if someone could help me out. Thanks!
Mktavish
Where are you expecting to find plugins.txt file? And where is the DLCList.txt file showing up ? Because in my install location ... which is C:/Games/GeckTools/FO3Edit_3_0_26_EXPERIMENTAL-637-3-0-26EXP I have neither one of those ... although maybe it is my version is different from your's.Which one are you using ? On a closer look ... it appears my Fo3-edit , is looking at my sort list from NMM.When I launch it , it brings up my sorted list from that, instead of how my Data folder sorts them. Hope that helps. Deleted21304489User
Use NMM if you're new to modding. It's simple to use. Unistall FO3Edit. Install NMM and then install FO3Edit. The two should hook up no problem. I recommend not installing them in program files, as windows can cause issues running programs. If you do... run them as administrator. Hope this helps. nexusmarko
Thanks guys, i decided to simply use NMM now and everything seems to work perfectly, the plugins.txt was created by NMM and mods and FO3Edit works just fine now. I appreciate the help tho. :^)
