BigDaddyRat
Does anyone know what would prevent the console command tilde key from working?
TheMastersSon
You may not believe this but try it anyway: Open Windows Device Manager and go to Human Interface Devices. If you see one called Microsoft EHome Infrared Transceiver, uninstall it. Reboot and make sure the device did not automatically reinstall. Now try your tilde key in New Vegas. :)

TheMastersSon
Are you sure the console is not opening? I don't think any visual clues are given unless you start typing something. Also what Windows version is this?
dubiousintent
The only visual cue to the command line is a blinking "underscore" (_) in the lower left corner of the HUD. Some regional versions and keyboards have it bound to different keys, though usually these are still to the left of the 1 key on the top row. It also may need to be enabled by a setting in the INI files. Please see the 'Issue: Console -' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide for more details. -Dubious- Edited December 1, 2017 by dubiousintent
Deleted1205226User
If the screen resolution is too big, the blinking "underscore" (_) can be out of view.
