Suggestions for New Modder

So, I've played Oblivion on console (rather...excessively, my main playthrough I hunted down and completed every quest, even the ones not recorded in the journal), and am thinking of purchasing it on Steam so I can see what the mods are like. Is it alright if I get a few suggestions of what mods to look for? (The easier to install with less potential issues the better since I'm new at this, but any suggestions would work.)

Thanks to Skyrim SE on xbox I at least know I tend to prefer mods that add areas to explore and quests, primarily things that are lore/immersion friendly, and things that are just plain interesting or add more customization, things like that. the occasional silly mod can be fun too like Skyrim's Sarcastic loading screens, or Sheogorath themed ones. So any suggestions are welcome (and if willing, a brief descrption of why its suggested can help too, but isnt strictly necessary.)

I'm afraid you'll be constantly forced to download useless updates before playing if you take the Steam version which is going to make you lose a great quantity of time if you don't have a good connection.

Concerning the new lands with quests you will probably like:

Dibella's watch

Elsweyr, desert of Anequina

Loren (unfinished)

Nascosto isles

Silgrad tower (unfinished)

Solstheim, Vvardenfell and Mournhold (unfinished)

Windfall

Although they don't offer any quest Hammerfell and Valenwood improved are still worth a try.

There are many other mods of this kind I never played and probably some I forgot to mention.
