Vagrant0
I have only been able to find it for sale on one site and they say they are out of stock and are unable to give store locations where it can be purchased. Honestly i don't think the game was ever sold to anyone and until someone comes forward with proof that they have purchased it I'll continue to believe this to be an elaborate hoax in the form of a viral ad campaign for the purpose of getting the Wintermute Engine known to more people. If it exists on illegal torrent sites (not that I encourage or regularly use such things), uploaded back in march, added by known pirating people, tracked by certain trackers, it's probably the real deal. Nobody would go that far for a hoax. And besides, even if it was, it doesn't actually show the benefits of the particular engine since almost all the examples of this game are horrible ones to start with. Crappy dialogue, half-baked story, stolen graphics, mentioning puzzles, but not actually showing any...
doomjockey
The notion that this is some marketing campaign for Limbo is indeed foolish since it could render everyone involved vulnerable to prosecution from several alleged sources. Also, how does pulling product figure into a marketing scheme? How do you increase your sales when your product can no longer be sold for fear of legal retribution? Who benefits? It seems like everyone's getting screwed. Even if it's a hoax to showcase the new engine take a look here and decide for yourself just how "brilliant" said engine is: I agree it's getting more press than it would have, but it's all bad press. worm82075
It's laughable I know but if you go to the Wintermute site (which has been visted by over 10,000 people since this began) you will see that they are claiming (backed up by his posts) that Steve Bolvis had no idea how to use the Wintermute Engine properly in the first place and many people have signed up saying that it looks good and that they will try it. If my theory is correct then It has been a huge success for Wintermute. You know the saying "There's no such thing as bad press"
Kresselack
I believe that Bethesda has some explaining to do of their own. Lord Slyther
The developers of Limbo deserve a heavy lawsuit for that. I see the game screenshots with not only Oblivion references, but Morrowind's weapons and armor also! http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/LimboOfTheLost/Snap14.jpg But the disclaimer says that they didn't expect such a crime. Quite hard to believe that.

Im sure plenty of people on these forums do. That book has enough popularity to even have the shield in a mod. Anyway just look at the comparisons. Organ
And thats a book, do you think the other would really care if they used his idea for an axe, probaly not, but with lotl they stole textures, layouts and tons of other things from a lot of games. Sarya
They didn't steal the axe, they simply made one that looks really like the first one. If that would be against law, then you realise of course, that no one would be able to legally write a book or make a game mentioning a self-exiled drow elf after Salvatore. "You made something alike someone else, but made it yourself" is completely not "You took something someone other had made and changed it to your liking".
