Vagrant0
And thats a book, do you think the other would really care if they used his idea for an axe, probaly not, but with lotl they stole textures, layouts and tons of other things from a lot of games. well, they didn't actually steal any of those assets they just stole pictures of them.Dunno about that, from that first 10 minutes trailer, looks like they are using a 3d environment, or atleast it's a 2d environment where persepective changes. And if you look at the screenshots, the one taken in that store has candles that look quite a bit different than what is in Oblivion, which means that it wasn't just an imported screenshot, but was rendered in a different environment. worm82075
That is one of the abilities of the Wintermute engine. Check out the site and you will see that 2D images are all that was used from other games.
Sarya
That doesn't change anything. It's still using others' work.
Varus Torvyn
If this issue continues to escalate, then we'll know what's up for certain if the Federal Government gets involved due to copyright infringement.

I was merely making a clarification not defending this atrocity against the gaming industry.
Sarya
I don't think it's atrocity, it's more like silly joke, with publishers ending up as clowns against their intentions. Well, they'll be smarter next time.

doomjockey
Developers of Limbo of the Lost have finally found their lawyers. Here's their official reply.. Though I've wondered, how can you steal from so many good games and still make such a crap product? That's like turning gold into lead...and stealing it.
