My Skyrim review

Ok, so I decided to review Skyrim today, and I'm pretty sure it deserves what I give it.

 

 

Graphics

 

The general graphics of the game are quite detailed, not counting the blocky faces, though the mods can fix that one. I was surprised as to how this game had less bugs then BF3 had, in which is a huge feat for Bethesda. The realistic detail to the game give it vast scenery, enough to where if you don't have anything to do, you can climb to the top of a mountain and enjoy the view.

 

Gameplay

 

The gameplay was very well done, from magic to ranged to melee, there are plenty of ways to fight an enemy. The new sprinting system turned out very good, helping to get to close places pretty fast. However, it seems they dumbed the stats and equipment system down from Oblivion and Morrowind. The new perk system though turned out pretty successful in my opinion.

 

Story

 

The story to the game was detailed and very well laid out, as are every TES game. However, it was short, and didn't have enough characters in it. Most of it is spent in dialogue over fighting, but they did a good job on the cinematic feeling.

 

Patches, bugs, glitches, etc

 

At the start of Skyrim, I was met by a sliding imperial captain, which really made me tilt my head. From there, I knew that the bugs in the game were going to be huge. After several updates, lag on the PS3, and complaining from the community, Bethesda finally got the game working in great condition.

 

 

Overall Skyrim was a huge game and my favorite from 2011. I can play this game for a straight week and still not get bored of it, which I can't do with Oblivion or Morrowind. I give this game, on a scale of 1-10, a hefty 9.7.

 

It did however, lack some things, such as horse combat and smaller things like footprints in snow, but other than that, the rating was well deserved. :biggrin:
